This is Social Media Monkey. Welcome. Social Media Monkey has been put together by Kai Tabacek, Mary Stokes, Katie Carr and Tommy Tonkins.
They are all studying for MA degrees in either Broadcast or International Journalism at University College Falmouth.
They’ve been charged with a monumental mission. The task ahead is fraught with peril but together they stand, divided they fall.
Kai, Mary, Katie and Tommy will be providing an insight, discourse and analysis into the way social media is revolutionising the way news is gathered and consumed.
In this environment of constant flux, journalists must now change and adapt their way of thinking in order to keep a pace with a brave new world.
What benefits does social media bring? What faults does it have? How is it and how will it change the shape of the world?
